  • 2009: Madonna performs in the Sticky and Sweet tour in Israel. The tour was described as a "rock driven dancetastic journey". It was divided into four acts: one with  S&M  as the main theme.
  • 2009: Madonna performs onstage for her 'Sticky and Sweet' tour held at the O2 Arena London. The Australian leg of the tour was cancelled at the last minute.
  • 2008: Madonna performing on the Sticky & Sweet Tour in Cardiff. It later became the highest grossing tour ever, by a solo artist.
  • 2006:  Performing onstage at the first concert of her 'Confessions' World Tour at Wembley Arena. Her performance of the song 'Live to Tell', while hanging on a giant mirrored cross wearing a crown of thorns, was met with strong negative reaction from religious groups.
  • 2006: Madonna performs "Vogue" on  the Confessions Tour which made over $194.7 million, becoming the highest-grossing tour ever for a female artist at that time.
  • 2005: Performing live at weekly gay night G-A-Y in the Astoria London.
  • 2005: Live 8 London, performing on stage as 24-year-old student Birhan Woldu, former Ethiopian famine victim and the inspiration for Live Aid 1985, looks on.
  • 2004: Performing in the "Re-Invention" World Tour. Elton John accused Madonna of lip-synching on the tour. Madonna's representatives denied the allegations and John was forced to apologise.
  • 2004: The 'Reinvention Tour' opening night. It was her sixth concert tour and supported her ninth studio album American Life.
  • 2003: Britney Spears and Madonna perform as the opening act at theMTV Video Music Awards.
  • 2003: Madonna On Stage and On the Record for MTV where she performed Like a Prayer and Like a Virgin, now up on youtube.
  • 2001: Drowned  World Tour, Los Angeles. Madonna played guitar and her costumes included a punkish tartan kilt and a geisha gown.
  • 2000: Promoting 'Music', her eighth studio album The album featured a cover of the song "American Pie".
  • 1993: The Girlie Show Tour at Madison Square Show in New York. It was the fourth concert tour by Madonna, in support of her fifth studio album, Erotica.
  • 1990: Performing  'Vogue,' on the MTV Video Music Awards.The tour featured Madonna simulating masturbation during the performance of "Like a Virgin".
  • 1985: Performing for a sold out crowd at the Live Aid concert at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • 1987: Madonna performed on the worldwide Who's That Girl World Tour. Her iconic conical bras got their first world showing during this tour.
  • 1985: Her debut tour, The Virgin Tour, was based in North America only and was critically panned but went on to collect more than US $5 million.
  • 1985: The Virgin Tour was Madonna's debut concert tour. It promoted her first two albums, Madonna and Like a Virgin. According to her, she was inspired by Michael Jackson and Prince's live shows.
  • 1985:Performaning at Madison Square Garden, Tickets for the show in  New York were completely sold out in a record-breaking 34 minutes.
